Typhani Russo

Master of Ceremonies

Miss Russo is an accomplished singer, dancer, model and actress and has performed in New York City, Orlando, Connecticut, Canada and six countries in Europe.  Typhani has been involved in pageantry since the age of two having held many titles at the local, state , regional and international levels.  She currently holds the Lifetime SU Ambassador and Ambassador of Beauty titles and is a  model with Supermodels Unlimited Magazine. She has traveled throughout the United States and to Rome for magazine photo shoots. fundraising events.  She was honored to have been featured on a Times Square billboard twice in NYC and was proud to walk the runway this past February for New York Fashion Week to raise funds for The Trevor Project.

Typhani is extensively involved throughout the community volunteering her talents to numerous charitable organizations.  She is founder of Bookworms Against Bullies, which gives victims of bullying a safe outlet to share their love of books. She is recipient of many awards including the prestigious United States Presidential Lifetime Call  to Service Award for Volunteerism, The United States Presidential Gold, Silver and Bronze level medals and pins for community service, Citations from The House of Representatives, Governor of Pennsylvania and The United States Senate along with various other distinguished accolades.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching Pittsburgh Penguins hockey and traveling. In fact, she will be leaving for Africa four days after the book festival.

Elmira Hope

Folk Singer

Elmira-Hope is a 19year old folk singer/songwriter from Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.  She began performing at the age of 15 and has made appearances  at music festivals such as Smoke Country Jam Bluegrass Festival and Route 22 Rock and Blues Festival.  She's built her name and following by playing venues near her hometown, such as Race Street Brew Works and Standing Stone Café.  In the summer of 2016, she released her debut 7 song EP "I tried my best". It is released on iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and others.  In 2017, Elmira-Hope was a contestant on ABC's American Idol.  She passed through two rounds hosted in Pittsburgh and Chicago.  She made it to the celebrity judge round in New York City.

Gospel Sounds Duet

In the beginning of Gospel Sounds Duet , Steve and Apryl had no idea of how much God had planned for them.  They knew that they had the call to spread His Word through Gospel music.  Together, they began locally doing nursing homes, churches and conventions.  Now, they travel nationally doing churches of all denominations, Salvation Armies, missions, rehabs, nursing homes, malls , revivals and church picnics.  They have appeared on both local and national television and radio.


They travel nationally presenting Salvation's message, encouragement, hope and faith to a lost world

Gospel Sounds Duet became a 501(c)3 approved ministry in the state of Pennsylvania on December 26, 2001.

Elaini Arthur

Country Singer

Hailing from Hollidaysburg, PA singer/songwriter Elaini Arthur sings with the voice of a country angel and her songs are heart-felt  and reminiscent of that grand ole country style made popular by the likes of Patsy cline and Loretta Lynn.

Elaini has performed at The Nashville Palace, Tootsies, The Grinder Switch Radio Hour, The Ernest Tubb Texas Troubadour Theatre in Nashville, as well as the Carnival Splendor and The Tribute Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN.  She has been a guest of the television shows The Shotgun Red Variety Show, Nashville Spotlight and Central PA LIve.  She also spends her time organizing an annual talent contest to benefit Our community Cares.

She was a regular performer at Joltin' Jim McCoy's Troubadour Lounge in Berkeley Springs, WV, performing at his annual Patsy Cline events, as well as being with his label, Troubadour Records.  She is currently spending time in the studio while in Nashville recording her album of original country songs.  Her single "Every Moment with You" is due to be released this fall.
